Lepanthes Genus of over 800 species widely distributed in moist tropical forests from Mexico to Brazil.
Growing conditions Watering and misting Propagation
Most of species require cool, moist growing conditions. The soil should be moist, but not wet. Misting is necessary.
Lepanthes calodictyon
This specie is uncommon in Ecuador and S. Columbia. It is easily recognized by the broad, thin, reticulated leaves with ruffled borders. The colorful, ornate flowers are borne on top of the leaf.
