Darlingtonia

Darlingtonia californica
Darlingtonia Family: Sarraceniaceae. Darlingtonia Californica is a hooded Pitcher Plant. Its snake's-head appearance is responsible for the common name - Cobra Plant. The pale green Pitcher will grow to 2 ft or more under ideal conditions - the heavily-veined head and dark forked tongue making this one of the strangest of plants.
Growing conditions Watering and misting Propagation
Average warmth in summer - minimum 40 F in winter. Brightly lit spot away from direct sunlight. Keep compost moist at all time. Reduce watering in winter. Misting is necessary. Use rainwater. Divide plants in spring.
